we are situated on the north side of Unst in Haroldswick, close to many tourist attractions in Haroldswick including Unst Heritage centre, Unst boat haven and The Viking replica longhouse boat.
we are currently CLOSED for the season we will reopen on the 23rd April 2025, with our new format of self serve tea room and gift shop

Welcome to Victoria's Vintage Tea rooms and gift shop ..........Britain’s Most Northerly Tea Room!
Situated in Haroldswick on the north side of Unst, our self-serve tea room and gift shop is the perfect stop while exploring local attractions like the Unst Heritage Centre, the Unst Boat Haven, and the Viking Longhouse.
We’re a family-run business that began in 2014, originally serving cake in the local village hall three days a week.
we soon found a permanent home in Haroldswick and have grown into the welcoming space you see today.
Our tea room is now entirely self-serve – relaxed, informal, and open whenever we are stocked up and ready to welcome you. No bookings are taken – just pop in, help yourself, and enjoy! There’s indoor and outdoor seating, stunning sea views, free Wi-Fi, and full disabled access.
You'll find a tempting selection of cakes, scones, soups, and savoury treats – all homemade using seasonal ingredients, many grown locally here on Unst. Victoria’s famous scones are baked fresh daily to her own perfected recipe – whether you go for a sweet clotted cream and jam combo or our savoury Orkney cheese cream tea with homemade chutney, you’re in for a treat.
Gluten-free and vegan options are available, and we restock the fridge regularly to keep things fresh and full of flavour.
Our adjoining gift shop is packed with beautiful, one-of-a-kind items from across Shetland and Scotland – including crafts, souvenirs, homewares, and handmade food gifts. We proudly support other small makers and love curating a truly unique shopping experience.

we are known for our huge yummy cakes all made in the traditional way to make our sponges light and fluffy and our brownies rich and chocolatey
Victoria being a Devon girl is very good at making scones! using her own recipe adapted and improved over 10 years we think they are worth two ferry rides to Unst to try them!
